
back from hong kong 6 days ago.
and i missed it so much, especially disneyland! =) everything about it is mickey and the disney princesses that i feel like a kid again. hehe..
on the flight to hong kong, there weren't enough economy seats left after the flight's transition at singapore and we got the business class seats instead! haha.. so cool. the seats are so comfy and wide.
hong kong's colder than i expected. at 13d-17d. so i brought only a pair of slippers but it was freaking cold over there! we were like the only idiots there wearing uncovered shoes la. -.-" i had wanted to buy a pair of shoes but i realised that i didn't really like their designs but there really are lots of boots there though i didn't buy any because i don't really wear boots and even more so back in singapore. so we survived the coldness in our slippers which we got used to after some time. we went into this chinese medicine shop and this shopkeeper looked at me who was wearing 3 quarters and slippers and i think he couldn't control himself asking me if i'm cold. -.-" i don't know if i should feel proud at going against the temperature or just plain stupid. :\
there are so many shopping spots in hong kong! on an average over the 4 days we spent in hong kong, we were out shopping and sightseeing from 10am-12am everyday. and that's FOURTEEN hours. we walked and ate some finger food, sometimes stopping by for the famous xu liu shan dessert shop. the total time we actually got to sit down and rest is only around 30 mins. hahaha... i've never ever walked so much in my entire life and i thought my feet is gonna go flat sooner or later. but i recuperated after the trip and stayed at home for 72 hours straight. :)
oh just a few notes of complain.
1) everything in disneyland requires a freaking long queue. we queue to take photographs with the characters, we queue to watch the performances, we queue to take the rides, and the food and the toilet... but the amazing thing is, the hong kongers don't seem to mind it at all. i guess they're used to it but argh... i can't stand it! what a waste of my precious time. just totally kills my mood. can you believe the only ride i got the take is the widely acclaimed "scariest ride in disneyland" space mountain which isn't exactly up to my expectation. :\
2) there are freaking lot of smokers in hong kong i almost died of passive smoking. well, probably cos its winter there and they need to get warm. but still, there are other ways..
3) the shop keepers at the night markets are first class actors. so that you will feel bad and pay for your items at the jacked up prices only to realise at a few stalls down, the exact same stuffs you just bought are sold at almost half the price you paid. -.-"
